Aerial Dance School Policies
We strive to maintain high quality aerial arts education. Therefore, we adhere to the following school policies. Please read before signing up for aerial dance class!
- Tuition is non-refundable.
- Make up class policies & scheduling here.
- Complete your waiver online before class day/time. If the waiver is not complete your child will not be able to attend. This is due to our insurance policy.
- All youth classes are drop-off only. In other words, the studio is closed to observation.
- All our classes are capped at 8 students per instructor, or 14 students for 2 coach classes.
- For weather cancelations we email. Also, we post on our Facebook page. If you do not receive an email this means classes are on! It is always your choice whether or not to attend. You can use one of your make up classes if you aren’t comfortable driving.
- Class instructors are subject to change.
- Late enrollment is welcome. However, we may require private lesson(s) to ensure you are caught up. We consider this on a case by case basis.
- ACOD uses photography and video for public promotion and social media.
- ACOD is not responsible for lost and stolen property.
- Also, please review our current Illness policies.
Class Guidelines and Expectations
- All classes begin with a 10 minute warm up. This is for injury prevention! Remaining time is for aerial.
- Please come to class in comfortable, form fitting clothes. Leggings and full coverage tops are best to avoid rope burn.
- Jewelry should never be worn for class. This is because it can snag and tear the fabric. We will ask you to remove all jewelry before participating.
- Ask your teacher for modifications if material is too challenging.
- We are strict in our leveling system. This is for your safety and our insurance policy. Aerial is challenging! It is customary to repeat levels.
- Repetition is needed for gaining strength. Please understand there will be some level of repetition in classes.

Aerial is hard!! To improve quicker, consider an additional class. We offer 25% of additional sessions with the purchase of a concurrent session. We also offer private lessons and open gyms.
Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct applies to every individual who enters ACOD, including parents and students.
- Treat all individuals with kindness, respect, and consideration.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for individuals of all ages, abilities, fitness levels, and body types.
- Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or violence of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Foster an environment that celebrates achievements at all levels, avoiding comparisons or judgment.
- Address conflicts or misunderstandings constructively and respectfully.
- Maintain a positive attitude, even when facing challenges or receiving constructive feedback.
- Train safely and responsibly, following all studio safety protocols.
- Arrive on time, prepared, and in appropriate attire.
- Listen to instructors and collaborate respectfully with peers.

Refrain from teaching other students or disrupting the class experience.
- Represent the studio positively when participating in events or activities outside the studio.

Do not attend classes under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Disciplinary Measures
For minor infractions, students will receive three warnings. Warnings will be documented in writing. If another incident occurs after the third warning within a 12-month period, disciplinary actions may include suspension or expulsion at the studio’s discretion. Suspension refers to a student being asked to take a leave of absence for a designated length of time. Expulsion refers to a student being permanently banned from ACOD premises.
Examples of minor infractions (not inclusive):
- Attempting skills explicitly prohibited by the instructor.
- Mildly disrespectful behavior towards an instructor or fellow student.
- Disrupting the class experience for others.

Continuing to teach other students in class after 1 warning.
Serious infractions will result in immediate expulsion from ACOD. Examples of serious infractions (not inclusive):
- Sexual harassment or making inappropriate sexual comments.
- Racist, homophobic, transphobic, or body-shaming remarks
- Bullying
- Deliberately damaging ACOD equipment.
- Extreme outbursts of anger or profanity.
- Threat of violence
- Being under the influence or illegal possession of drugs or alcohol
