Join the Aerial Cirque Over Denver Coaching Team!
Aerial Cirque Over Denver (ACOD) is growing and we’re looking for passionate aerial coaches who are excited to teach safely, build community, and grow within a supportive team culture.
At ACOD, we believe coaches deserve stability, respect, and support, not the uncertainty that often comes with freelance or contractor teaching roles in the aerial world.
We take our role as an employer seriously, and we’re proud to offer a workplace culture that values safety, professional growth, and long-term relationships.
We Hire Coaches as Employees — Not Contractors. Most studios rely on contractors because, well, it’s cheaper and easier. We don’t.
Being an employee at ACOD means:
- You are fully covered under our general liability insurance while coaching — something contractors are not for most industry standard policies.
- Our session-based model protects your income — even if a class ends up with absences.
- We provide structure, policies, and training so you’re never navigating safety or expectations alone.
What We Offer
Competitive Pay & Predictable Hours
We don’t over-schedule or “hold” you for classes that may not run — transparency and predictability matter to us. We have a full time studio manager so scheduling runs smoothly!
Insurance Coverage as an Employee
As an employee (only) you are covered under our studio’s umbrella general liability.
Strong Community & Team Culture
We offer weekly complimentary coach development sessions with a Master Coach and maintain a studio culture grounded in respect and inclusivity.
Low Staff Turnover
Many of our coaches stay for years. We take pride in building a workplace where people want to stay, learn, and continue growing.
Safety First Environment
ACOD has been an ACE (American Circus Educators) Safety Recognized Program since 2023 — reflecting our commitment to a safety-first culture.
Who We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you are:
- Experienced in aerial arts or circus movement (silks, trapeze, lyra, sling, rope, or related disciplines) and have a teacher training (not required but highly sought)
- Passionate about teaching and fostering empowerment in students of all ages, abilities, and body types. A cornerstone of ACOD is inclusivity.
- Safety-minded, reliable, and coachable
Growth at ACOD
ACOD is expanding! We have multiple locations and new programming, there is room for:
- Increased coaching hours
- Specialized teaching roles
- Program directing (such as competition teams & performance companies)
- Show and event involvement
- Day camp and weekend party hours
