Adult Contortion & Flexibility Training
You do not need to already be flexible!

Our adult contortion classes combine strength, conditioning, flexibility training, and progressive contortion skills to help students develop mobility and control. Rather than simply pushing deeper into stretches, you’ll learn how to actively support your flexibility and build the strength needed for more advanced positions.

Class sessions focus on contortion skills including:

Your coach provides progressions based on your current flexibility and experience, making our classes appropriate for both beginner and experienced adult contortion students.

Our contortion classes are limited to only 6 students, so each class is structured more like a small group private lesson.

Beginner Contortion Classes for Adults

Never taken a contortion class before? You’re welcome here.

You don’t need a gymnastics, dance, circus, or flexibility background to begin. Our beginner-friendly contortion training starts with foundational strength, body awareness, and flexibility techniques before progressing into more challenging skills.

Students work at their own level, with exercises and progressions designed to meet them where they are. If you’ve always wanted to become more flexible but weren’t sure where to start, adult contortion class is a great place to begin.

FAQs

Contortion training isn’t simply about holding deep stretches or learning impressive tricks. Developing flexibility requires strength, control, technique, and consistent practice.

Classes incorporate conditioning and active flexibility work before moving into focused flexibility and contortion skills.

Depending on the day’s focus, students may work on splits and leg flexibility, backbending, balances, or more advanced contortion shapes.

Our goal is to help you build usable, controlled flexibility that can support your contortion practice as well as other movement disciplines.

No! You do not need to already have your splits, a backbend, or any particular level of flexibility. Our coaches provide progressions based on each student’s current ability.

Yes. Beginners are welcome. Classes incorporate foundational conditioning and flexibility training as well as progressions for students who are ready for more advanced contortion skills.

Not at all. Our adult contortion classes are ground-based, but the strength and flexibility developed in class transfer beautifully to other movement practices. Contortion and flexibility training can be especially useful for:

  • Aerialists
  • Dancers
  • Gymnasts
  • Synchronized swimmers
  • Figure skaters
  • Pole dancers
  • Yogis
  • Anyone who simply wants to become stronger and more flexible.

You do not need to participate in another sport or movement discipline to join.
