When choosing an aerial studio for yourself or your child, safety credentials matter. The American Circus Educators (ACE) Circus Arts Safety Network is the national standard for risk management in circus arts education.
Aerial Cirque Over Denver is proud to hold this recognition and to be the only studio in Denver that does. We did not earn this by accident. It reflects nearly two decades of building systems, training coaches, and investing in the infrastructure that keeps students safe.

Professionals in the field
We don’t rely on internal opinion alone. For build-out, rigging design, and risk management, we bring in external experts.

Safe equipment & mats
We treat our gear as the safety‑critical infrastructure it is.

- 8-inch thick crash mats are required under every student's apparatus

Teaching for risk reduction
How a skill is taught is as important as whether a student can physically perform it. Our curriculum is built around progressive safety.

- Strict leveling system with defined prerequisites for each level

What you'll see on your first visit
Crash mats at every apparatus
8-inch thick mats are placed under every student's point before class begins.
Warm-up before every class
Every class begins with a structured warm-up.
Level-appropriate skills only
Students are not taught skills beyond their current level. The prerequisite system exists to protect them.
Documented equipment inspection
Equipment inspections are logged and documented. Records are kept and reviewed regularly.
ACE recognition displayed
Our ACE Certificate of Recognition is displayed at the studio. You're welcome to ask our staff about what it means.
Questions to ask any aerial studio
We believe every prospective student and parent should ask these questions — of us and of anyone else they consider training with.
Who designed your rigging and who does your monthly and annual inspections?
Do you hold any safety certifications or industry recognitions?
How often is your equipment inspected, and are those inspections documented?
What is your leveling system, and what prevents dramatic multi-level classes?
Are crash mats required under every student during class and during shows?
These questions matter. An aerial studio that cannot answer them clearly may not have thought carefully about safety. We are proud to answer all of them in detail.
